About My Reading

I personally have always loved reading. I used to be heavily supervised as a child and I had time limits for playing, watching tv, and when using the family computer. What didn't have a time limit was reading, so everytime I had free time I read anything that was available. I started off from the science textbooks that we had, to my older brother's YA novels, and eventually online horror fiction or "creepypasta" as it was called back then.

Eventually my older brother took noticed, and in 2nd grade he made me read Sydney Sheldon's Master of the Game as well as write an analysis for it. This book had a noticeable jump in terms of reading skill and, looking back now, was obviously inappropriate for a 2nd grader. It was a very "pulpy" story about a Scottish family's diamond trade dynasty. My brother was obviously testing me back then but I honestly appreciated it as it sort of jumpstarted my interest in reading. Almost all of the books he has read and bought has been passed down to me.

Nowadays I mostly read Horror and High Fantasy. I sometimes read Literary Fiction and Classics but only when I am in the mood for it.
